4B’s Alaska Experienced Knowledgeable Crew

4B’s Alaska was founded in 2024 representing the 4 brothers Andrew, Robby, JJ, and Micah in order from oldest to youngest. Andrew was a longtime member of the Venturess crew and now works for the city of Homer operating heavy equipment. He is married to Mattea, and they have a son named Sidney. JJ has been onboard for nearly a decade as deckhand, second captain, and now Captain of the Venturess. If you know him, you love him, simple as that. JJ is quick witted, has a contagious smile, and is boat savvy beyond his young age. His wife Catherine and young daughter Emmerson reside in Homer Alaska. Micah was also a longtime crew member of the Venturess. The youngest brother, he completed refrigeration school and now resides in Las Vegas working for a veteran owned HVAC company.

Robby Larson passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 24. He was a staple onboard the Venturess as were the other brothers from a very young age. Robby had in recent years commercial fished all across Alaska. fishing for salmon, black cod, halibut and also tendering for salmon. It was recently that he realized his love was the family business and returned home to get his license and carry on the family tradition. It is for him that we carry on.

Travis & Susan Larson Longtime owners of Alaska Premier Sportfishing (the sportfishing side of the operation), we helped facilitate the transfer of the hunting operation to our four boys. Proud as parents can be we now get to watch them grow and learn. If you call to book you will certainly hear from Momma Bear (Susan). If you head out on a transport hunt you may get to have the old coot(Travis) as your cook or fishing guide, or when things go drastically wrong as the ship’s plumber.
